e-filing income tax account registration problem?

Your First name doesn't match with the data you entered.. Your mid name doesn't match with the data you entered.. Your surname name doesn't match with the data you entered.. etc are you getting any of the above problem then chances are your PAN Details are not matching with the data you entered and there is now way that you can proceed further until you enter the information right recently i faced the same problem which held me back from e-filing because i could not remember the exact spelling or combination i entered in the application while applying for my permanent account number four years back see the below pic for the error i was getting

So how to fix this ?
Chances are slim but you can try your luck first of all check the name of the HUF on pan verification so that the details available with the ITD is same as your data and try to enter same name and surname

secondly, some thimes the name printed on your pan might be different than the name entered in the ITD databases so here is a trick to verify your name through pan verifier

Go to www.tin-nsdl.com website

click on "e-payment : pay taxes online" link and select "challan 280"

Now fill your PAN correctly and fill other details just fill randon junk if you want and select "Proceed" at the bottom now this will get you the exact name present in the database

though these are the tricks i got on the net which reduced few error messages still i was not able to proceed as there was other details still mismatching with the Database and information i entered... what ever it is this happened to many of my friends and while googling i came to know tons of people facing the same issue i guess the government should come up with a better idea of secure login than the annoying people with crap of remembering or entering the same combination of information... i think First name, with PAN id and Date of birth was more than enough...

i don't know who designed or programmed this kind of authentication they are really airheads common guys change it grrrrrr $@#$@# omg.. now after 2 days of trying hard i finally wrote to their assistance let me see whether they will ready my email and get back and between if you faced the same issue shout it here..
update: after a lot of frustration i got my IT returns manually acknowledged.

Green Hot chilli is burning my hands! few cooling tips

omg! its still paining red hot even at the time of writing this post... it all started today morning when i decided to make myself instant Maggie pasta for my breakfast though it already contains a taste-maker i thought of spicing it up with beans, tomatoes,coriander and other vegetables and not to forget a decent amount of green chillies 2 to 3 short ones while cutting the green chillies inspite of my sister warning i did not handled it carefully i cut and removed the chilli seeds with bare hands now after 15 mins of preparation my hands started burning insanely hot now its almost 3hrs the sensation and intensity is still the same so after googling for the tips i came across variety of tips on how to relieve the pain below are few tips that worked to some extent for me....

--> First of all never try to touch chilli in bare hands else never let the contact more than finger tips If possible wear kitchen gloves.

--> Once inflammation starts there is no way that water, soap, shampoo, oil or any other detergents can relieve the pain... since capsaicin is a fat or alcohol soluble rubbing the hands with water or alcohol solution and even milk can relieve pain drastically..

--> Since chillies contains Capsaicin which is alkaline adding a lemon or vinegar and rubbing will neutralize burn and also olive oil is said to be good pain reliever

--> Some say soaking hands in milk or rubbing with a salt can reduce pain by removing traces of capsican to certain extent.

over all i tried the lemon tip and it worked for me by relieving the burning affect by 60% so guys next time be careful with chillies, chillies are not only hot but pain in the as** :) and did you know some times chillies acts as narcotics giving the same effects that illegal drugs give? because i personally felt very much high in restaurants when ever i ate chilly chicken and when purposely ate/chewed few chillies because it releases a chemical seratonine in brain which is contained in many illegal drugs...

so guys and gals if you have any great tip which you think it worked for you do let us know and share with us here.

TATA MANZA My All New Ride

today we bought our Second car and first sedan :) though i planned to buy a car more than a year back see here and here it did not happen for two reason one i had a question in my mind whether "Do we need a another car"(Sedan) ? and second "if so Which car to buy"? and after a one year of confusion and dillema i finally opted for MANZA not just because it rhymes with my name but overall decision of VFM and other long term considerations.

Initially we had a ford figo titanium in my mind but when i saw a AD in TV on Manza i thought of giving it a try and went to near by TATA show room Concorde motors KR ROAD (walkable distance from my home) same day and saw a MANZA in red and white color that's when i decided this is my next car ;) and today i rode it for first time see below video

Though i initially decided to go for top end model which has airbags and ABS(8.3 lacs) i did not opted to go for it because recently one of my friends colleague Car(Scorpio) AIRBAGS got opened for small accident which was just a small kiss to the bumber and he had to pay 40k INR just to factory reset the airbags, so i decided to go for a middle'r model TATA MANZA AURA Quadrajet which had all the features the top end model had except airbags and ABS for (7.5 lacs).

Today i drove MANZA from showroom to temple and home for the first time it was a sweating task because you know even though how experienced your are (i got my Car Driving License in 1997) taking a new car on city roads for first time is a bit nail biting.

Now its time for some fun, thought i will be busy on week days planning to have some picnics on weekends to some of the nearest location because i have to try to complete 1000km mark in 1month at least for my first vehicle service, lets see how this baby co-operates with me!

how to detect fake torrents before downloading large file

tips to identify or spot fake torrents before downloading huge file... did you downloaded several gigs of information from torrent and came to know it was just a huge pile of garbage data? recently i had the two incidence where i downloaded 2 files of size 4.2 GB and 3.1GB total of 7+ GB but then when i tried to run the files i came to know that it was fake 4 days of wait and system time bandwidth all went into vain.

Most of the time people who are new to p2p file sharing falls in this trap but occasionally even experienced cannot separate wheat from the chaff.

so who upload the fake torrents and why? most of the time the fake file up loaders are MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America ), RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), SIIA (Software & Information Industry Association) and other anti piracy watch dogs the main moto of the these organization are to collect the IP Addresses of the users who download these files..

recently fakers(anti piracy watch dogs) are becoming increasingly more in numbers in the p2p world wating for you to download the copyrighted material record your ip and sue you for downloading it though 70% of internet users use torrents even 15% of the don't know how the torrents work what are leechers, seeders, trackers, peers etc, what they all know is just click on the torrent file wait for the download to complete...

It is said that for every 10 files downloaded 3 -4 files are fake and most of the codecs and software files littered around in the p2p contains all kind of malware, virus, scams, key loggers etc so p2p world is filled with all kinds of people from anti piracy trackers to hackers and virus and malware uploaders so next time be careful while downloading any file from the torrents.

so how to know whether the torrent is a fake? below are the few tips you can watch for before downloading a file:

1. First of all use the trusted torrent client software from reputed vendor such as: uTorrent, BitTorrent or Vuze some torrent clients are said to seed malware and other kind of viruses.

2. If you find files with lot of instruction and other kind of things such as password protected etc then this could smell sign of fake because most of the torrent uploaders are straight and rarely include any read me file with hell lot of instructions in it.

3. Some torrents like fenopy employ a few core users as moderators who actually have the authority to set the verified status if its a genuine file always look for verified status before download it.

4. Just google for trackers if its a legitimate uploader than you can see relevant hits in google else you can find assorted results in google this is other way of identifying fakers

5. If a torrent says it requires a special software to extract the file or play the file or suggest to download a anonymous codec then it is surely a fake torrent

6. Last but not least always read the comments if OP has disabled the comment or the comments contains at least one negative comment then the torrent is fake you can see many of them bashing negative commenter which is a sign of the torrent is fake.

though these are the some of the observation i made in few years of torrents usage if you know or like to add still more tips feel free to add in the comment section so that others can benefit from it, and always be careful before downloading else you might end up with garbage data...

Booked TATA MANZA against all critics from friends and relatives !

Finally after a one long year and lot of research i finally opted to go for TATA MANZA tossing swift dzire, verna, ford fiesta out of my mind i believe i made a good decision based on the reviews on the internet, VFM and Comparison with other cars and first hand review of few users who have driven the car for more than 6 months...
though i myself was a critic of tata motors and their vehicles but when i saw the adv of manza in the TV nine months back i said for myself this is my next car don't know what made me think like that.. when i said about this to my cousins and family about it they laughed at me and said "are you choosing it because it rhymes with your name ? just go for verna or fiesta" PS: (Manja(my pet name) - Manza) :)

Now after convincing my parents to buy Manza who initially had Hyundai Verna and ford fiesta in my mind i hope this beauty(MANZA) will not let me down... any way i booked the car 3 weeks back and paid the total amount 7.5Lacs (DD from bank) today and i will be getting the car in another week or so... though i choose the Monarch red initially recently i changed the color to jet silver because car looked better in jet silver, will write a detailed first hand review shortly after riding it for few hundred kilometers, So what do you guys think was my decision right ? any criticism or information about Manza is welcomed

or put it this way say white collar jobs vs blue collar jobs, it was 7 years back me and my cousin had a hardcore debate on which job is best to get settle in life back then i was in my 4th semester engineering he was still in pre college i was very much interested in family business construction he was very much interested to become computer profession i always used to argue that construction or any self entrepreneurship is the only way to be successful in life and to earn huge bucks but he always insisted on white collar job and opted to be a salaried professional and to work abroad and to earn more bucks and enjoy life, but we think one fate decides other as this old quote says "A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it" today i am salaried with fixed income stream where as he is into his own business(construction) with awesome variables earning 20x than me.

Youmint.com is scam or really pays u r phone bills or just waste of time ?

when youmint was launched it created a lot of hype to make people join its network and it promised it could pay your phone bills provided that you invite fair amount of people to join your network and you could even get the commission from referrals referrals(sub referrals) earnings whats more it also promised that you could send free SMS any where in India and this is the best kept promise yet...

i first came to know about youmint around 2 years back from a friend and i almost invited quite a fair number of direct refferals to join my network almost 300 peoples which is not bad but though my first online earnings was from youmint but it was the least ever earned online my total earnings till now is just 500rs that is 10$ in two years inspite of 290 referrals.

and from my experience spending time on you mint really does not help you to pay your phone bills in past two years i did not earned even to pay one month bill from it as my mobile phone bills exceeds 15$ a month...

though i don't think youmint is a scam as i already got a 8$ check from them i think earning as much as they say that it can pay your phone bills is very much difficult unless your direct referrals and their referrals constantly visit their website and continuously invite people to their network otherwise do not expect your youmint wallet to be full and between this will not work out unless you are an excellent spammer and as far as me i am long out of you mint and rarely visit the site just for fun to check my wallet and whether my referrals are still there.

can stumbleupon bring massive traffic to a website?

today evening i was amazed to see sudden burst of traffic to my blog when i was analyzing amung.us stats of my website, but when i saw a source of traffic on site-meter the traffic source was from stumble-upon then i came to know that some one has stumbled my article resulting the fair amount of concurrent users than regular see below pic

the online users almost reached 136 users at one instance though this is not my highest previously rajshekar reddy helicopter crash article reached 540 users concurrent and Bangalore bomb blast article almost got 3890 concurrent online users.

Now its hardly two days to left its time to revisit ups and downs in my blogging space like every blogger do, this year was a great in terms of site traffic, posts, comments and amount of personal mails i got from the site visitors.

Compared to previous year(08)where the site traffic was toggling between 100-250 visitors per day this year(09) we saw fair amount of boost in traffic i had almost 1000+ unique visitors on average every day

Another good thing is 82% of my visitors came from search engines(organic traffic) rather than referrals or links from other websites or comment box's... and i had consistent amount of users online all the time this shows the blog attracted visitors from all over the world and my blog was not limited to India or any other specific region.


Coming to posts this year i almost blogged over 300+ posts and all the posts attracted more or less same amount of traffic except few posts which were popular attracted more number of visitors and comments below are few

Low Traffic to web site this Christmas season

from past one week i started observing a drastic drop in traffic to my blog it dropped of almost 40% i was really scratching my head what the real problem was then when i checked my stats on google analytics and alexa i came to know that my web traffic from US was almost dropped from 55% to 13% majority of my traffic is from United states rest assorted then i came to know the real reason of traffic slump is Xmas and this holiday season i think people are spending most of the time offline purchasing gifts shopping and spending time with their families and getting ready for the Christmas.

but this is not the case of some of my friends blog whose majority of traffic is from India they have actually seen nice increased spike in traffic of about 10-20% so i think the traffic of the website or blog mostly depends on the type of content and vistors geographic location.

What is Engine Oil Viscosity Grade number and oil weight W ?

can i use 15-40W rating lubricant for my bike engine? this is the question that puzzled me when i wanted to replace my bike engine oil recently as it completed 3000km after last oil change though before i did not scratched my head much about it but this time some thing made to know about it, this lead to small R&D and i came to know about what viscosity and grade is all about.

When ever you buy a Engine oil you can see two Information on every can of engine oil can 1) API Rating 2) Viscosity grade

-->API(American Petroleum Institute) rating deals with what kind of engine the oil is meant for whether it is for disel or petrol engine and also quality level... for petrol engines API scales from SA(lowest) to SJ(highest) and for disel engines grade scales from CA(lowest) to CG(highest) you can see this grade on almost all engine oil containers.

-->Viscosity grade for example say 0w-30 or 10W-40 tells you the oil thickness where first number tells the oil at normal temperature and second number which is higher is the weight of the oil at higher temperature... but engine needs oil that is thinner at cold start and thicker at run time(when hot) because it increases oil pressure and reduces oil consumption... though oils in retro age was single grades that is straight 30w or 40w that is 30w when hot and 30w when cold but this made engine hard to start at cold weather's so to counter this problem multi viscosity(Multi-weight) oils were invented which was thin at cold temp and heavy at higher temperatures this made possible by adding polymers to oil to have diff weights at diff temperatures.... At cold temperatures, the polymers are coiled up and allow the oil to flow as their low numbers indicate. As the oil warms up, the polymers begin to unwind into long chains that prevent the oil from thinning as much as it normally would.

So guys next time when your car or bike needs oil change use the oil as recommended by your vehicle manufacturer in the manual for better engine performance

Now a days chain snatching is becoming passion among youngsters who are very lazy to bend their ass and earn their bread recently just in 3 months they were many incidents in city despite of warnings on regular newspaper and tv channels i don't know why people are still ignorant in wearing precious jewelery and roaming freely on the streets i guess this is the main motivation for chain snatchers...

the reason to write this post is this evening chain snatching was attempted on a women who was watering in front of her house but the women was lucky enough to grab chain back from him, this is the first time something like this happened in our street and this all happened in front of my eyes...

I was standing on the terrace second floor i noticed the man with black jerkin was walking slowly talking on his cellphone when he arrived near the women he suddenly try to snatch her chain and run off but women got hold of his neck collar screaming and snatch the chain back from his hands the chain snatcher pushed her and ran of with his auto rickshaw parked 100 meters away as it was dark and street was empty there was no chance to write the registration number..

what ever it is i have seen almost five to six cases within a week in newspaper so gals be careful while you are going out never wear precious jewelery until you reach the destination and make sure to remove and keep it in a safe place while you are traveling back home.

why Bus stop location are Unscientific and illogical

from day i started driving one of the main problem i faced on bangalore roads are placements of bus stops and shelters though these are decided by BMP and by the police i bet even a fifth standard student can pick a better place than these guys, most of the bus stops are placed near signals, narrow roads, or street ends which makes a driving a bad experince.

though many countries has some rules and logic on how to place the bustands based on:

* Number of loading areas (or number of buses that can stop at one time)

* Average Dwell Time (How much time it takes a bus to load/unload passengers)

* G/C ratio of nearby traffic signal (green time / cycle length)

* Clearance Time (time it takes bus to re-enter the traffic stream)

i bet our concerned authorities never do such a thing, it would reduce a fair amount of traffic obstruction if atleast a minimum common sense is used by avoiding bus stops at signals, narrow roads, or street ends.

so have your guys ever felt the same way what do you think can be done to avoid traffic obstruction created by illogical bus stops?

Quadra core processing making office work more fun and pleasure

ask any techie what is your favorite toy the answer definitely would be a computer with exceptional computing power though until recently i had a decently fair system which is enough for office work with

Intel Pentium 2.8GHz with 1 GB RAM 80GB HDD 15inches Monitor

It was more than enough to open and work on visual studio and windows Mobile emulator and Windows Media Player though compilation took a bit fair amount of time it was a decent system to work with few occasional hangout and restart.

But when we upgraded to the latest version of visual studio recently i started experiencing performance issue and opening any other program with visual studio and emulator was unimaginable, so i recently sent a formal mail to the PM requesting the upgrade of the system and the result was a new system

Intel Quadracore 3.0GHZ with 4GB RAM 250GBHDD a wide screen LCD Monitor and Windows Operating system

Now Opening a Android Emulator, Eclipse, Windows Mobile Emulator, Visual Studio, Windows Media Player few word docs, visio, Mozilla Firefox parallely all work without a single crash with superb speed.

I was surprised to see Visual studio was taking just 5 seconds to compile and deploy a project to emulator even in such a heavy load condition making development time 5 times faster.

Google Chrome Operating System to make Dump full fledged Operating System

Most of us in home spend 90 to 100% of the time on the computer just to browse, watch movies and download files on the internet many time i felt why to wait such a long time until the system boots just to browse but i am very happy that Google is bringing out something which makes life easier so that we can install Google OS parallel to normal OS and select Google OS if we want to just browse at start up making overall PC experience a lightening speed see below video for a quick overview

The Google chrome (linux based os) is mainly targeted for net books and between beware of fake Google OS floating around the internet the stable version of Google OS is still not yet released and expected to be released in second half of 2010.
