After 25 years long venture with indian roads maruthi suzuki 800 and maruthi omni (Legend Car of India) is said to be stopped marketing and retire in 11 major cities!!! reason? the new emission rules which maruthi is not compliant with as upgrading these maruthi 800 with new engines and emission standard will be prohibitive...
the company also said the maruthi would be pulled out totally from assembly line in the year 2016 as the entire country comes under euro IV emission norms by that time...
whatever it is with the launch of tata nano the sales of maruthi 800 any how would have tumbled even if this decision of pulling maruthi from 11 cities was not taken though maruthi 800 was the iconic car of India i think no other car would expected to leave a legendary impressions like maruthi 800 any way legend is at the end of its days

It should not be stopped. It is better than NANO, I suppose. I suggest it can be modified as per EURO IV emission standards.
its better to shut d production of maruthi 800 n look in to other production line
