Is there any way that we can cancel sent email from gmail, yahoo, live hotmail or any other email ? this is the question many of us ask when we send the mail to the wrong person or missed the attachments or some vital information landing us in the embarrassing situation...
unfortunately you dont have this facility in gmail, yahoo or hotmail as these does not run on exchange server the recall works on outlook only when it is configured to microsoft exchange... Though i was not aware of this feature before i recently came to know when one of my friend accidentally sent confidential email for the wrong person luckily he recalled it....
Some of the requirement for the recall email to work:
1.Both should have the email on Microsoft exchange server.
2.IT works with Outlook XP or higher version.
3.If email is already read it cannot be recalled
4.Some times user may get recall notification
5.Some times recepients may disallow the recall.
How to recall the email in outlook
1.sent item folder-->open the message you want to recall
2.In action menu select-->recall this message
3.click delete unread copies of this message
4. click ok and then type new message correct it and click send
