Google Talk Labs Edition Missing Features? Google Released a new version of Gtalk, named as "Labs Edition" it is very unclear whether it is the newer version of Gtalk or just another addon? the application doesn't support voice chat and lacks file transfer.... but has some new features like launching Orkut and Google Calendar and also includes the feature of notifiying Google calendar appointments and orkut scraps as show in the Pic below.....
The new Google Talk uses WebKit to render some parts of the interface. And now, Desktop notifications from the following services:
- Gmail
- Orkut
- Calendar/Appointments with Snooze Option
and some of the missing feature are link or shortcut to gmail though it has some of the other features like group chats,smilies and lack of important features like voice chat and file transfer makes this difficult to use and it is really confusing why Google has missed such a important features and expects the user to switch to new labs edition any way if Google can club Gtalk,gadget and lab edition it may compete the yahoo messenger still it is a lab edition we have to see how it goes Click Here to DOWNLOAD
